ADVENT begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. The First Sunday of Advent – this year on November 29th – is the beginning of the Christian Year.  This season is called a time of preparation because we remember the historical fact of ancient Israel awaiting the coming of their Messiah and at the same time we anticipate the promised return of Christ, the Messiah.
Purple, the primary color of Advent, is somber and quiet, and it points to the fact that Advent is a time of reflective thought, of commitment, and of penitence.Traditionally, purple has been a color of royalty so it points to the kingship of Christ.
Each week during Advent, we are going to participate in an Advent Challenge. Each week we are asking you to bring items for various local mission agencies.
One of our greatest aspirations as a church is to make sure that you and your family find a safe haven in the midst of a stormy world. We consider it an honor from God for Him to send people to us that need shelter.

Children who come to us will discover loving and caring people waiting for them in their classrooms, and in their activities. Young people will experience the detemination of a staff of people who truly believe that there is a treasure inside of each young person that is just waiting to be discovered and released.

Our church is a "Family Place". We do not profess to be all-in-all to the family, but we are striving to see that every age group within the family receives the attention needed to prosper in their Christian life.

Take a look at our "Visitor" page for answers to many of your questions about our church.
