St. Simons United Methodist Church has an excellent ministry to young families through our Preschool.  The overall objective is to help each child become aware that all people are worthy of God's love and the love of others.  We seek to honor Christ by pointing children in our preschool toward Him.  We also want each child to experience the loving care of adults who will help them develop understanding attitudes, and skills appropriate for each particular age level. We are a child centered program and would like to instill in our children a love of learning and excitement for the school years ahead! 


The classes are as follows:
Infants (8 weeks-walkers)-TBA
Walkers- 2yrs
2 year old class
3 year old class
4 year old class (PreK class)

Walkers -2 years
This is a Christ-centered program in which children come to learn through a semi-structured routine that involves outside time, music, movement, free play, and table time.  Children develop an ability to communicate with teachers and other classmates, follow simple directions, share with others, and learn other age approprate activites. 

Two Year Old Class
Our two year olds learn independence and basic socialization skills such as sharing and gettting along with others.  Communication skills, gross and fine motor skills, following directions, and other developmentally appropraite activites provide opportunities for active exploration.  Simple phonics and numbers are also introduced. 

Three Year Old Class
Three year olds are encouraged to develop their own potential.  Our objective is to challenge and stimulate their creative ability by further developing motor skills, coordination, language, and interacting with peers and adults.  We encourage social and academic development through a variety of learning experiences.  An emphasis is placed on letter and number recognition along with phonics. 

Four Year Old Class (Pre-K Class)
Readiness for kindergarten is the major objective in our Prek-K class. Challenging the child academically, socially, and emotionally in age appropriate activities helps develpo their independence.  A strong emphasis is placed on phonics, letters, numbers, and writing in a structired classroom setting.  Prek-math skills are also incorporated into daily activites.

* 10% discount for additional siblings. 5% discount for complete annual payment on or before August 10, 2013.


Supply Fee Schedule
Fees will be added to the annual tuition and divided into 10 equal payments. Discounts do not apply to supply fees.

Drop-In Rate-24 hour notice appreciated and based on availability: $35/day - $25/ 1/2 day
Sibling Discount will be 10% for each additional student.
Only currently enrolled students may participate in Extended Care or Drop-In programs.
